ADAM’S FAVORITE PLACEMENT OF 2021

2021 was a banner year for placing top legal talent. The job market was truly extraordinary and I was fortunate to meet so many incredible attorneys. I was even luckier to work with them and place them at new firms to achieve their long-term goals.

Each placement is its own unique story. The process is different in every case, but it all starts with connection. I’m passionate about getting to know each candidate individually so that I may help them find the most appropriate and successful fit. The best part of my job is connecting with candidates, getting to know them and learning about their motivation. I conduct in-depth conversations during which I help them to explore their careers on a granular level and delve deeper into their “whys.” The more we connect, the better the placement can ultimately be. 

I’ve gotten to know so many great lawyers this year, but one placement really stands out to me…

She’s an M&A lawyer, mother, wife and all around great person. She has an awesome personality and was a star at her firm. Unfortunately this firm wasn’t committed to her practice in her specific office location and her promotion was taking a lot longer than she had hoped (she wasn’t even sure that it would ever happen). While the firm didn’t want to lose her, we knew she would have a lot of success if she went to another firm. Together, we found the right fit and I’m so proud of her and confident she’ll be a star PARTNER at her new firm.  

I believe that the foundation to a successful recruiter/candidate relationship is connection. Before you work with a recruiter this year, consider if the recruiter is conveying trust and support. As a BigLaw recruiter, I understand that you’ve worked extremely hard to get to where you are and don’t take your efforts lightly.
